Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design - Konstfack Scholarship Masters

Benefit

You will receive your full tuition fee covered for the duration of your Master’s programme at Konstfack – University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. This programme usually lasts two years (120 ECTS credits). Master’s programme tuition fees at Konstfack amount to 150,500 SEK per semester (approximately 13,300 EUR), meaning that the total value of the scholarship over two years is around 602,000 SEK (approximately 53,000 EUR). Konstfack awards exactly one of these scholarships each year. The scholarship covers tuition fees only; it does not cover your living costs.

Eligibility

• Admission: You have just been admitted to one of Konstfack’s Master’s programmes.
• Field of study: All of Konstfack’s Master’s programmes in the fields of art, crafts and design are eligible, for example interior design, product design, textile design, graphic design and illustration, ceramics and glass, metalwork and fine art.
• Nationality: You are a national of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, so you are required to pay tuition fees in accordance with Swedish regulations.
• Selection basis: The prize will be awarded to the candidate with the greatest artistic merit, with your creative work serving as the basis for assessment.

How to apply

You do not need to submit a separate application. As soon as the admission results have been published, Konstfack will email the scholarship application to admitted fee-paying students. In the 2026 cycle, the form was sent out on 26 March, and you must return it by 1 April. Konstfack will notify the sole scholarship recipient on 27 April.

How realistic are your chances?

Only one scholarship is awarded each year, to the best applicant from among the admitted, fee-paying Master’s students. Competition is fierce, even though the pool of eligible applicants is small. The real hurdle is gaining admission to the Master’s programme at Konstfack on the basis of your artistic achievements. If your portfolio stands out, you are automatically in the running without having to submit an additional application.
