What the Award Offered

The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) gave international students a monthly stipend of SGD 2,000 for a research attachment of two to six months at A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) research institutes in Singapore. Students worked alongside internationally recognised researchers and had access to state-of-the-art laboratories.

Who Was Eligible

  • Student status: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree programme (bachelor's applicants preferably in their 3rd or 4th year)
  • Subject area: Computing and Information Science, Biomedical Science, Physical Science, or Engineering and Technology
  • Academic standard: Second Class Honours level or equivalent expected
  • Nationality: Open to international students worldwide
  • Language: Good spoken and written English required
