About this scholarship
Benefit
You get a 3,000 GBP cut off your tuition fees for your first year at Sheffield Hallam University in England (about 3,500 EUR). It is a straight discount on what you owe, not cash paid to you. If you take a postgraduate course with fewer than 180 credits, the discount is scaled down in proportion. The award applies to courses starting in September 2026 or January 2027.
Eligibility
- Where you live: Your permanent home is in Ghana.
- Course: You are starting a full-time taught undergraduate or taught postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam.
- First time here: This is your first time studying at Sheffield Hallam. If you studied there before, you cannot get this award, but you may qualify for an alumni scholarship (funding for former students) instead.
- Paying your own fees: You fund your tuition yourself, without a government or other institutional sponsor.
- Start date: Your course begins in September 2026 or January 2027.
- One award only: You cannot combine this with another Sheffield Hallam scholarship or with a fee discount from a company or partnership deal. If offered more than one, you pick one.
How to apply
There is no separate application. You get the discount automatically once you are offered a place, and it is confirmed in your offer letter. There is no fixed deadline. What matters is that you enrol for a September 2026 or January 2027 start.
How realistic are your chances?
This award is not competitive. It is an automatic tuition discount for anyone who meets the conditions, not a contest for limited places. If you live in Ghana, fund your own fees and start a full-time course at Sheffield Hallam for the first time, you receive it as part of your offer. Just check that your start date and self-funding status match the rules.
