Benefit

You get up to SEK 5,000 (about 440 EUR) per scholarship towards a trip connected to your studies at Lund University. Two of the underlying funds can award more. Typical trips that qualify are exchange studies abroad and travel to collect material for a degree project or essay. You do not choose a specific fund. You make one application per trip, and it is automatically matched against every scholarship you are eligible for. In spring 2026, 85 scholarships were awarded and SEK 726,400 (about 64,000 EUR) was paid out in total.

Eligibility

• Where you study: You are a current Bachelor's or Master's student at Lund University.
• Purpose of travel: Your trip is connected to your studies, for example exchange studies, or travel for a degree project or essay.
• Field of study: All subjects can apply.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Grades: You are ranked by your Lund University grades, so strong results help. Only credits earned at Lund University count.
• Pace of study: How quickly you earn your credits also counts.

How to apply

You apply once a year through the online scholarship application system. You upload documents that confirm the purpose of your trip, such as a letter of acceptance from your host university or a confirmation from your supervisor. The next application period opens in February 2027. Decisions are made in April, and recipients are notified by email.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is limited to current Lund University students, which keeps the field smaller. Still, in spring 2026 there were 715 applications for 85 scholarships, so most applicants did not receive one. Selection turns on your Lund grades, pace of study and how well you document your trip. Strong results and a complete, well-evidenced application make the difference.
