What the Foundation for Education and Development in Obstetrics and Gynecology funds

You are eligible for funding to support training and further education in the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology in Sweden. These are the medical specialities that deal with pregnancy, childbirth and women’s reproductive health. The funding body is a registered Swedish foundation (Stiftelsen för Utbildning och Utveckling inom Obstetrik och Gynekologi), which is affiliated with the Swedish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (SFOG). The foundation does not specify either a fixed grant amount or a funding period.

Who can apply

• Field: You work in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology within the Swedish healthcare system.
• Who you are: The funds are mainly allocated to the SFOG’s working and reference groups (AR groups), which develop guidelines and training programmes. They are not usually allocated to individual students.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Every year, the Foundation transfers the funds to the SFOG, which distributes them amongst its working groups. The groups submit their applications via ARGUS, the body responsible for coordinating them. There is no fixed deadline.
