PG Dubois stiftelse scholarship

You get a one-off cash scholarship to help with your schooling. The amount is not published. It depends on how much the foundation's assets earn each year and is split among the pupils chosen, so it is a small top-up rather than a large grant. The foundation is one of the City of Stockholm's education funds, run by the city administration. It helps capable pupils who also need money.

Who can apply

• School year: You are in year 8 or 9 of compulsory school.
• Where you study: Your school is inside the City of Stockholm, or the City of Stockholm runs it. Both municipal schools and independent schools (friskolor) inside the city count. Schools in neighbouring municipalities such as Solna, Sundbyberg or Sollentuna do not count, even if you live in the Stockholm area.
• Financial need: You need money to help with your schooling.
• Merit: You have a good school record.

How to apply

Apply through the City of Stockholm's online service for education scholarships (utbildningsstipendier). You can apply from 1 December 2025 to 30 January 2026. The window closes at 16:00 on the final day. You cannot change or add to your application once you send it, and incomplete applications are not processed. Prepare everything before you submit.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrow: only pupils in years 8 and 9 at schools inside the City of Stockholm can apply, which keeps the field local. The payout depends on the foundation's yearly earnings and does not stretch to everyone, so not all applicants get money. If you clearly meet the year and location rules, can show financial need and submit a complete application before the deadline, your chances are reasonable.
