Sundahl Foundation scholarship for architecture students

You get a one-off payment to help cover your living costs while you study architecture at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. This is a need-based award, not a prize for top grades. The foundation exists to support architecture students who need financial help. The exact amount is not published in advance. It depends on how many people apply and how much money the foundation has that year. Past awards in this group ranged from about 2,000 SEK to 40,000 SEK (roughly 175 EUR to 3,500 EUR) per round.

Who can apply

• What you study: You are enrolled in the architecture programme at KTH's School of Architecture and the Built Environment (ABE).
• University: You study at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
• Financial need: You need financial support to continue your studies. This is the main criterion.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply, as long as you are an architecture student at KTH.

How to apply

You apply through the KTH scholarship portal during the application period, which usually closes on 15 February. Log in with your KTH account to see the full call. The chairperson of KTH's Scholarship Council decides, and you get the result by email.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly: only architecture students at one school of one university can apply, so the pool is far smaller than for open scholarships. If you are enrolled in the KTH architecture programme and can clearly document your financial need, your prospects are solid. Apply on time, as KTH scholarships are usually granted only once a year.
