About this scholarship

Euromasters Scholarship at the University of Bath

You will be studying for your full tuition fees paid for the first year and half your tuition fees paid for the second year as part of a two-year Euromasters Master’s programme at the University of Bath. Tuition fees for students starting in academic years 2026/27 are 5,235 GBP per year for home students and 7,875 GBP per year for international students. The scholarship is therefore worth approximately 6,120 EUR, and for international students, the total value over the two years is significantly higher. The University of Bath awards a scholarship for students starting their studies in September 2026. Both eligible degree programmes are offered as part of an international consortium, meaning you will split your studies between Bath and partner universities such as Sciences Po Grenoble, Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Siena.

Who can apply

  • Course: You are applying for the Master’s programme ‘Contemporary European Studies: Politics, Policy and Society’ (Euromasters) or for the Master’s programme ‘Contemporary European Studies with Transatlantic Track’ (Euromasters).
  • Degree level: You will start this two-year, full-time Master’s programme in September 2026.
  • Grades: You hold a degree equivalent to a British First-Class Honours degree or a very good Upper Second-Class Honours degree (2:1).
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Please note that the ‘Politics’ degree programme is closed to international applicants for the September 2026 intake and is open exclusively to domestic students. Please therefore check the current status of your chosen degree programme.
  • Field of study: Your background is a good fit for the ‘Contemporary European Studies’ programme, which focuses on EU policy, strategies and society.

How to apply

First, apply for one of the two Euromasters programmes and obtain your student registration number. Then complete the online application form for the Euromasters scholarship. The application deadline is 10 June 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

Only one scholarship is awarded each year, and it is linked to two specific Master’s programmes. The pool of eligible applicants is therefore small, and everyone in it is competing for a single place. Furthermore, you need a first-class or very good 2:1 degree, which raises the bar even higher. If you have already been admitted to one of these programmes and can demonstrate excellent grades, you have a genuine chance of success; however, given that there is only one place available, it is difficult to secure it.
