What the BBSRC CASE Award offers
You will receive a monthly research scholarship of approximately 1,700 EUR for 36 months to pursue a PhD at the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick. A scholarship is a grant intended to cover living costs whilst you are studying. The project is based at the Biomedical and Biological Systems Laboratory, which develops mathematical models of how the body processes medicines. You will model how drug transporters influence the way medicines are transported through the human body and interact with one another. This is a BBSRC CASE Award, a UK research grant that combines a PhD with a partnership with an industry partner, meaning you will work with both a company and your supervisor at the university.
