What the University Prize Scholarships offered
The scholarship comprised a full PhD package. It covered all tuition fees, regardless of whether the student was classified as British, EU or international. In addition, a tax-free living allowance of approximately 22,800 EUR per year (20,000 GBP) was paid. In addition, there was a research training grant of approximately 2,850 EUR per year (2,500 GBP) for conference travel, study visits, books, materials and equipment. The funding covered the entire duration of the PhD programme, typically three to three and a half years. The University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom awarded the scholarship through an open selection process. Note: The university states that this programme is not currently available. Who could apply
- Degree level: You have applied to study for a PhD.
- Field of study: Open to all subjects.
- Where you study: You studied at the University of Sheffield in the UK.
- Nationality: is open to applicants from the UK, the EU and all other parts of the world.
- Grades: You hold a degree with honours at ‘First Class’ or ‘Upper Second Class’ level (2:1) or an equivalent qualification.
