Becas Ferrer-Salat

You get a full scholarship for all four years of the Grado Superior en Música, a higher-education music degree, at the Centro Superior de la Fundación Conservatorio Liceu in Barcelona. It covers your tuition and gives you access to the school's facilities, concert cycles and masterclasses. Masterclasses are intensive lessons with expert musicians. You also join a group of selected students, play in chamber ensembles and perform in concert series such as Liceu Jove, Liceu Cambra and Liceu Jazz. Each year 20 new four-year scholarships are awarded. The money comes from the Fundació Ferrer de Música together with the Fundació Conservatori Liceu. You can only use it for this degree at this conservatory, not at another school or for a master's programme.

Who can apply

• Nationality: You are a Spanish citizen.
• Where you study: You start the higher music degree at the Conservatorio Liceu in Barcelona in 2026-2027, as a first-year student.
• Field: You study jazz and modern music, flamenco guitar, classical and contemporary performance (including voice), composition, or pedagogy.
• Age for most fields: You were born after 31 December 1999 (jazz and modern music, flamenco guitar, and classical/contemporary performance except voice).
• Age for voice and composition: You were born after 31 December 1997.
• Entrance exam: You pass the conservatory's admission test for the same year.

How to apply

You apply online through the Conservatorio Liceu website by 22 March 2026. You upload your CV, an ID copy, your academic record, a signed motivation letter, and either performance videos (for performance and pedagogy) or your own compositions. If you pass the first round, you attend in-person auditions in Barcelona from 4 to 7 May 2026. For composition you sit exercises and an interview instead. Results are announced on 7 May 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly. You must be a Spanish citizen within the age limits and win a place through auditions at one specific conservatory. Only serious young musicians who pass the entrance exam compete. With 20 new full scholarships each year, your prospects are good if your playing or composing stands out and you meet the age and nationality rules. The audition decides it, so prepare your programme and your accompanist early.
