About this scholarship

UCA International Mobility Programme (Undergraduate)

For a study period abroad, you will receive 700 EUR per month for a period of 3 to 5 months (up to a maximum of 150 days). You will also receive a one-off travel allowance, the amount of which depends on how far your host university is from Cádiz. It ranges from 23 EUR for very short journeys to 1,500 EUR for destinations more than 8,000 km away. The programme is run by the University of Cádiz in Spain and funded by Banco Santander. It covers regions not covered by Erasmus+, meaning you will study at a partner university in the USA, Australia, Latin America, North Africa or the post-Soviet region.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You are a bachelor’s degree student (Grado) at the University of Cádiz.
  • Enrolment: At the time of your application, you are actively enrolled at UCA.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Where you go: A UCA partner university outside the Erasmus+ area for a study placement (not a work placement).
  • Language: If your host university teaches in English, you may need to provide evidence of your language proficiency.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via UCA’s ORIUCA platform; you must also register on the Banco Santander platform (Santander Open Academy). Selection is based on your application documents; there is no interview. The university will publish a provisional list, a final list of successful applicants and a waiting list.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is open exclusively to Bachelor’s students at the University of Cádiz, so the pool of applicants is limited to this university from the outset. If you are already studying at the UCA and have a clear plan to study at a partner university in one of the covered regions, your chances are good. There is no interview, and all degree subjects are eligible, so the most important thing is to submit a complete, well-prepared application.
