About this grant / loan

Benefit

You will receive up to 500 EUR as a one-off grant for a personal or group project. If your project has a significant local impact, you can receive up to 1,000 EUR. You can use the money for a humanitarian, artistic, sporting or musical project. You can also use it to cover study-related costs, such as a compulsory work placement abroad, an Erasmus semester or school materials, or to pay for your driving licence. The town of Montmorency awards the grant through its youth information centre, ‘Info Jeunes Montmorency’, which will also help you plan your project.

The money will be transferred to your bank account once the project has been completed. You must raise at least 25% of the total budget yourself or through other sponsors. In return, you will present your project to the town, for example as part of an exhibition, or carry out 35 hours of voluntary work in Montmorency.

Eligibility

  • Age: At the time of applying, you are between 16 and 25 years old.
  • Where you live: You live in Montmorency. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. In a group of up to 7 people, the project leader and at least one third of the members must live there.
  • Type of project: Almost all areas are eligible. Holiday trips, leisure outings and courses leading to the BAFA or BAFD youth leader certificate are not eligible for funding.
  • Groups: Informal groups of friends may apply. Registered associations, however, may not.
  • Under 18: You need written permission from your parents.
  • One try per year: You may submit only one application per year, either individually or as part of a group.

How to apply

Pick up the application form from ‘Info Jeunes Montmorency’ or on the town’s website. Submit it there between 15 January and 30 November, at least one month before the next meeting of the Youth Committee. This committee, which is made up of councillors and city council staff, decides whether you will receive the grant and, if so, how much.
