City of Montmorency - "Project Jeunes" Grants

Bourse Projets Jeunes (City of Montmorency)

You will receive one-off grant of up to 500 EUR or up to 1,000 euros if your project has a significant local impact. The town of Montmorency awards these grants through its youth information centre, ‘Info Jeunes MCY’.

You can use the money for three types of projects:

• your own humanitarian, artistic, sporting or musical project
• compulsory study costs, such as a required placement abroad, an Erasmus semester (a study period at a partner university abroad), a school trip or school materials
• your driving licence

The money will be transferred to your bank account once the project has been completed. The town can also provide practical support, for example by providing premises, equipment or posters. In return, you will then share your experiences, for example as part of an exhibition or a talk, or you will carry out 35 hours of voluntary work in Montmorency.

Who can apply

• Age: At the time of applying, you must be between 16 and 25. If you are under 18, you will need written consent from your parents.
• Where you live: You live in Montmorency. In a group of up to 7 people, the project leader and at least one third of the members live there.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Groups: You can apply together with a group of friends. Registered clubs are not eligible to apply.
• Your own money: You must contribute at least 25% of the project budget yourself or through other sponsors. You must also provide evidence that you have approached potential sponsors for support.
• Type of project: Your project is not a holiday, a leisure trip or a training course for youth leaders (BAFA/BAFD).
• How often: You can only apply once a year, either individually or as part of a group.

How to apply

Please submit your application to Info Jeunes MCY between 15 January and 30 November. Please do so at least one month before the next meeting of the Municipal Youth Committee. The committee meets regularly throughout the year and decides on individual funding applications. Its members include the municipal youth officer and staff from the education authority.
