University of Rome Tor Vergata - Prizes for deserving students - discipline: Engineering

Merit prize for Engineering students at Tor Vergata

You will receive a one-off cash prize of 500 EUR (before tax) if you are among the top engineering students at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. The university is awarding 30 of these prizes in this round. You do not have to repay the amount. It is a one-off payment for the academic year, based solely on your academic performance and not tied to any specific duration of study.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled on an engineering degree programme at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy.
• Field of study: Any Engineering course, for example civil engineering, information technology, electrical engineering or engineering management.
• Study phase: You are past your first year of a bachelor's degree.
• Credits and grades: You have earned at least the specified minimum number of credit points and have a good grade point average. The university compiles a ranking of students based on credit points and grade point average, and the top performers are selected.
• Nationality: Open to students of all nationalities.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” as part of the Faculty of Engineering’s annual call for applications. The deadline for applications for this round is 14 May.

How realistic are your chances?

The award is restricted to engineering students from a single university, with 30 places available; the pool of applicants is therefore smaller than for open national scholarships. Selection is based solely on a ranking of credit points and your grade point average. If you are among the top-performing students on your degree programme, your prospects are really good. Make sure you maintain a high grade point average and submit your examination results on time, as these two figures are the deciding factors.
