About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a study grant of 800 EUR gross per month for 6 or 12 months, and your social security contributions will also be covered. During this time, you will undertake a paid full-time work placement with a company in Spain. You will also complete an online Master’s programme worth 90 ECTS credits, taught in English. Upon completion, you will receive a university certificate (Título Propio) from the University of Alcalá, as well as a certificate from the company where you worked. The programme is run jointly by the Fundación Universidad-Empresa and the University of Alcalá, in collaboration with partner companies. It is a university-specific diploma, not an officially recognised Master’s degree accredited by the state.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You’ve recently finished your degree.
  • Field of study: Primarily business administration, economics and law. The exact degree programmes accepted depend on the specific internship opportunities offered by the company.
  • Languages: Depending on the company, you will have at least a B2 level of English and/or French.
  • Computer skills: You have advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Willing to move: The work placement takes place in Spain, so you must be prepared to move to the location of the placement.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • First time: You have not yet taken part in the GAIA programme.

How to apply

Register on the talentoteca.es platform and then apply for a specific company placement as part of the GAIA programme. The application period runs throughout the year, so there is no fixed deadline. Each partner company selects its own candidates.

How realistic are your chances?

You are applying for a specific role at a particular company, not simply joining a large pool of applicants. Your chances therefore depend on the extent to which you meet the role’s requirements in terms of your field of expertise, language skills and IT skills. As the selection process is ongoing and there is no fixed application deadline, a well-suited graduate who is willing to relocate within Spain has good prospects. Apply as soon as a suitable internship is advertised, as each company fills its own vacancies.
