University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) - UWE Bristol International Student Scholarships (Canada)

What you get

You get a tuition fee discount of up to about 4,650 EUR (up to £4,000) in your first year of study. It is a one-off cut on your year-one fees, not a monthly payment. The award comes from the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) in the UK and is aimed at students from Canada. If you accept it, you also take on ambassador tasks, such as helping represent UWE to future students during your studies.

Who can apply

• Where you go: You study at UWE Bristol in the UK.
• Where you are from: You are from Canada and pay international student fees.
• Level: You study an undergraduate course or a taught postgraduate course.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Offer: You have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place from UWE Bristol.
• Visa finances: When you accept, you can show you can pay your living costs and the rest of your tuition fees, as UK visa rules require.

How to apply

Canadian students apply by video. You send a short video via WeTransfer to americas@uwe.ac.uk. In it you give your name, country and UWE Welcome ID, then answer why you chose UWE, what you look forward to, and how UWE could attract more students from Canada. The deadline is 31 May for a September start and 31 October for a January start.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is limited to students from Canada, so fewer people compete for it than for open international scholarships. If you have your UWE offer and send a genuine, well-made video by the deadline, your prospects are good. The university decides who gets it, so a clear, personal answer to their questions helps you stand out.
