Mid Sweden University Tuition Fee Scholarship

You get a waiver of 75% of your tuition fee for a master's programme at Mid Sweden University (Mittuniversitetet) in Sweden. You do not receive cash. The amount is deducted directly from your tuition bill. You still pay the remaining 25% of the fee, plus your travel, living and other costs. The award applies only to programmes starting in autumn 2026 and cannot be moved to a later semester. Only a limited number are handed out, to new students with the strongest results.

Who can apply

• Level: You are a new student admitted to a master's programme at Mid Sweden University.
• Field of study: Your programme is one of the listed master's courses starting autumn 2026, covering tourism, engineering physics, computer engineering, sociology, electrical engineering, additive manufacturing, chemistry, media and communication, and more.
• Nationality: You are a citizen of a country outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland and must pay tuition fees in Sweden.
• Application step: You have applied to the programme through universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2026 and paid the application fee by 2 February 2026.
• Grades: You have very good academic results.
• Priority: You are given priority if you list Mid Sweden University as your first choice.

How to apply

First apply to your chosen programme through universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2026 and pay the application fee by 2 February 2026. If you are eligible, you get an email link to the scholarship form. It is open from 10 February to 26 February 2026. You answer two short essay questions: why you chose the programme, and how it fits your future plans. Results arrive by email no later than 30 April 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

Only a few of these scholarships exist. Selection weighs both your grades and your written motivation, so a strong, specific essay matters as much as good results. Because it is limited to fee-paying non-EU students on a set list of programmes, the eligible group is fairly narrow. If you clearly meet the criteria, list the university as your first choice and write a convincing motivation, your prospects are reasonable.
