Lemann Foundation, Oxford Matched Funding Scheme - Oxford-Lemann Fellowship Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a scholarship of full scholarship for the one-year ‘Master of Public Policy’ (MPP) programme at the University of Oxford. It covers the full tuition fees (for 2026–27, this amounts to 54,450 GBP, approximately 63,000 EUR) as well as a monthly stipend (a regular payment to cover living costs) for all 12 months. The scholarship is funded by the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford in partnership with the Lemann Foundation, a Brazilian non-profit organisation focused on education in Brazil. As part of this five-year partnership, at least 15 of these scholarships will be awarded.

Eligibility

• Nationality: You are a Brazilian national and usually live in Brazil.
• Course: You are applying for the Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford.
• Grades: You have achieved excellent academic results or show clear potential.
• Motivation: You’d like to get involved in promoting social change in Brazil and can demonstrate that you’ve already been active in this area.
• Return plan: You plan to return to Brazil once you’ve finished your studies.

How to apply

You do not need to apply for the scholarship separately. First, apply for a place on the MPP programme by the application deadline of 24.01. Once you have been offered a place, you will usually receive the Blavatnik School’s scholarship application form within a week. Please complete this form to be considered for this scholarship.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very specific. It is aimed exclusively at Brazilian nationals resident in Brazil who have been admitted to a specific Master’s programme at Oxford; consequently, the pool of eligible applicants is small. The first hurdle is securing a place on the MPP programme, which is in itself highly competitive. If you can clear this hurdle and demonstrate that you have been actively involved in bringing about social change in Brazil, your prospects of winning the scholarship are good.
