About this scholarship

What you get

You receive 900 EUR per month to do a master's degree in France. The funding runs for at least one semester and up to two years. It comes from the French Embassy in Ecuador. On top of the monthly money you get several extras: most public universities waive your tuition fees, you skip the student-life contribution (CVEC), and the embassy covers your visa fee. You also get French social security and complementary health insurance, cheap access to CROUS student housing (the public student housing service), a second-class train ticket from your arrival airport to your study city, and discounted cultural activities through Campus France.

Who can apply

  • Where you live: You live in Ecuador when you apply.
  • Nationality: You do not hold a European nationality.
  • Degree: You are starting a master's programme in France that leads to a recognised diploma.
  • Start date: Your studies begin in September 2026.
  • Field of study: Your subject fits one of the priority areas: digital, quantum, biotech, environmental science, energy, low-carbon mobility, deep-sea exploration, space, food, information and communication technology, or humanities and social sciences linked to these fields.
  • Language: You have at least a B2 level in French or English, depending on the language you study in.
  • Grades: You have excellent grades over your last two to three years of study.
  • No double funding: You are not funded by a French training contract, another French ministry, Erasmus+, the AUF or any other public body.

How to apply

You submit your application, in French or Spanish, through the embassy's online form. The deadline is 10 May 2026 at 23:59 Ecuador time. Incomplete or late applications are not considered. The scholarship is confirmed once you can show a final admission letter from your French institution.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrow: you must live in Ecuador, hold no European nationality, and study in one of the listed priority fields. That keeps the eligible group small. It rewards strong grades, so if you clearly fit the criteria and can show excellent marks and a solid B2 language level, your prospects are good. Prepare your admission and language proof early, since incomplete files are dropped.
