About this scholarship

ENP scholarship for EU graduates (College of Europe)

You will receive 23,000 EUR for a one-year Master’s programme at the College of Europe. This covers the academic year from September to the end of June, i.e. approximately 10 months. The funding comes from the European Union as part of its European Neighbourhood Policy and is awarded by the College of Europe. You can study at one of the two campuses: in Bruges, Belgium, or in Natolin, near Warsaw, Poland, on any Master’s programme, ranging from European economics and law to international relations and transatlantic affairs.

Who can apply

  • Nationality: You are a national of an EU Member State. You must apply via your own country’s selection committee.
  • Degree: You hold a university degree and are applying for a one-year Master’s programme at the College of Europe.
  • Field of study: Any of the College's master's programmes qualifies, on the Bruges or Natolin campus.
  • Interest in the topic: You have demonstrated a genuine interest in the European Neighbourhood Policy, which governs the EU’s relations with its neighbouring countries. Please explain this in a personal statement of up to 600 words.
  • Study commitment: If you win, you will write your Master’s thesis on a topic related to the European Neighbourhood Policy and take a course or seminar on the subject.

How to apply

Apply via the College of Europe’s online form and tick the box to indicate that you wish to be considered for the ENP-EU scholarship. You will go through the College’s standard selection process, including an interview. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of your ranking and your interest in the subject. There is no separate application deadline; therefore, please apply as early as possible as part of the general application process.

How realistic are your chances?

As a rule, only one or two of these scholarships are awarded per EU Member State, so the number of places in your country is limited.
