About this scholarship

What you get

ESADE Business School in Barcelona offers financial support for its one-year full-time MBA programme. The total tuition fees amount to 82,500 EUR. Support is available in two forms. Means-tested scholarships cover 50% to 85% of your tuition, which, depending on your financial situation and profile, corresponds to a reduction of approximately 41,000 EUR to 70,000 EUR. ‘Excellence Awards’ are awarded to outstanding applicants and are decided as part of the admissions process. The scholarships generally cover tuition fees only, but not living costs. Places are limited, and it is not possible to combine two ESADE scholarships.

Who can apply

  • Programme: You have been admitted to the ESADE Full-Time MBA programme. You can apply for financial support either after admission (means-tested funding) or as part of your MBA application (Excellence Awards).
  • Field: Only the MBA in Business Administration. ESADE’s Executive MBA and bachelor’s degree programmes are not included.
  • Nationality: Open to everyone, both from Spain and abroad. Some funding programmes are aimed at specific regions, such as the Asia-Pacific, Latin America or Africa, or at women, but the core needs-based funding is open to all.
  • Grades: You have achieved an above-average score in the GMAT, GRE or ESADE entrance exam, as well as demonstrating outstanding academic and professional achievements.
  • Financial need (need-based aid only): You can provide evidence of your household’s income to show that it is unable to cover the full cost of tuition fees.

How to apply

You apply for the ‘Excellence Awards’ via the ESADE admissions portal as part of your MBA application, and your interview will be taken into account in the decision-making process. The application deadline for the intake starting on 2026 is 15.07. For means-tested scholarships, you must first be admitted, then complete a separate scholarship application form and submit evidence of your household finances. These documents will then be assessed by a committee. The application deadline for the associated Fundaón Princesa de Girona scholarship for residents of Spain is 15.06.

How realistic are your chances?

Places are limited, and a prestigious MBA programme attracts high-calibre applicants, so competition is fierce. Your chances are best if you already have an above-average score in the entrance exam and a clear career path. For means-tested funding, a proven financial need is also an advantage. Applying early and tailoring your profile to the right scholarship (region, sector, leadership or diversity) will improve your chances.
