About this scholarship

IE Awards (Master)

You get a tuition reduction of 10% to 40% of the fees for your master's or MBA programme at IE University in Madrid and Segovia, Spain. The discount runs for the full length of your programme. It is not paid out in cash. Instead, it lowers what you owe in tuition. IE University awards these to strong applicants who also show financial need, and gave out more than 18 million EUR in financial aid for the 2024/25 academic year.

Who can apply

  • Level: You are admitted to, or applying for, a master's or MBA programme at IE University.
  • Field of study: Open to all master's programmes at IE University.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply, including international students.
  • Grades: You have strong academic results. Awards are judged on merit as well as need.
  • Financial need: You can show that you have limited access to other funding. Candidates with few alternative funding sources are given priority.
  • Language: You meet the language requirements of your chosen programme, which may be taught in English or Spanish.

How to apply

First apply for admission to your chosen programme. Then fill in a separate financial aid application on IE's online platform using the same login. You can pick up to three awards but can only win one. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the deadline is the start date of your programme. A committee decides based on your documents. There is no interview, and a decision usually comes within one to three weeks of admission.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is open to all master's applicants at one university, so the field is wide and the funding is competitive. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee an offer. The money is limited and given out on a rolling basis, so applying early and showing both strong results and a clear financial case gives you the best prospects.
