About this scholarship
Benefit
At Linnaeus University in Kalmar and Växjö, Sweden, you are exempt from paying 75 percent of your tuition fee. The amount of the fee depends on your degree programme and ranges from approximately 110,000 SEK to 285,500 SEK per year (approximately 9,700 to 25,000 EUR), meaning you will make significant savings. The scholarship is initially awarded for one semester. It may be extended to cover the entire duration of your studies, provided your academic performance remains satisfactory. It is administered by the university’s International Office.
Eligibility
- Who you are: You are required to pay tuition fees as you are not a national of the EU, the EEA or Switzerland.
- Where you study: You are already enrolled on a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme at Linnaeus University.
- Progress so far: You have earned at least 30 credit points on your current degree programme.
- Field of study: Open to all subjects.
How to apply
You apply through the university's International Office while enrolled. The window is short. In 2025 it ran from 12 May to 19 May at 13:00 (1 p.m. Swedish time), so apply as soon as it opens.
How realistic are your chances?
The pool of applicants is small. Only fee-paying students who are already enrolled and have earned more than 30 credit points are eligible to apply, which means the pool of applicants remains smaller than for open scholarships. If you clearly meet these requirements and apply within the short application window, your chances are good. The number of scholarships awarded depends on the available funding, which varies from year to year.
