Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship scholarship (Lund University)

You get a full tuition waiver covering the whole fee for the one-year Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Lund University. The fee totals SEK 150,000 (about 13,300 EUR). The programme runs for 1 year (60 credits), starts in the autumn semester and is taught in English. You build your own startup with one-to-one mentoring (personal coaching from an experienced advisor), startup coaching and access to the local startup scene. The scholarship comes from a donation by the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, part of Lund University School of Economics and Management. It covers tuition only, not your living costs in Sweden.

Who can apply

• Programme: You apply for the Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Lund University.
• First choice: You list this programme as your first choice on the national application site universityadmissions.se.
• Nationality: You are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and not Swiss, so you have to pay tuition fees. EU/EEA students study for free and cannot apply.
• Degree: You have a completed Bachelor's degree.
• English: You meet the advanced English requirement (Swedish "English 6").
• Grades: You have strong, consistent academic results. Selection is based only on merit; financial need is not considered.

How to apply

First submit a complete application for the Master's programme through universityadmissions.se, pay the application fee and list the programme as your first choice. Then apply separately through the Lund University Global Scholarship portal. There you upload a motivation letter of up to 600 words explaining why your results and reasons for choosing Lund qualify you. The scholarship window usually opens in early February each year.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrow: it goes to a single applicant per intake, for one specific programme, and only to fee-paying non-EU/EEA students. That keeps the pool smaller than for open scholarships, but the one-per-round limit makes it highly competitive among strong candidates. With excellent grades, a clear fit with the entrepreneurship focus and the programme as your first choice, you have a real shot. A convincing motivation letter is what sets applicants apart.
