The Kjellberg and Wijkanders scholarship fund

You will receive a scholarship if you are studying at one of two Swedish engineering universities. Jernkontoret, the Swedish Steel Manufacturers’ Association, administers the fund and awards the grants once a year. The funding body does not disclose either the amount or the duration of the grant. Your university determines the exact amount when it awards the grant.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are a student at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm or at Bergsskolan in Filipstad, both in Sweden.
• Field of study: You are studying engineering or a technical subject at one of these universities.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. They simply need to be studying at one of the two universities mentioned.

How to apply

You do not apply directly to Jernkontoret. You apply via your own school and follow the instructions displayed there. Each school announces its own application deadline and conducts its own selection process.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is open only to students at two engineering universities, so very few people apply for it. If you’re already studying at KTH or Bergsskolan and keep an eye on your university’s calls for applications, you’ve got a good chance. Make sure you stick strictly to your university’s deadlines and guidelines, as each university decides on these matters independently.
