About this scholarship
Academic Achievement Scholarship (Bournemouth University)
You get 2,000 GBP off your tuition fees (about 2,300 EUR) in your first year of a postgraduate degree at Bournemouth University in England. This is a fee reduction, not cash in hand: you pay 2,000 GBP less when you enrol. There is no cap on how many are given out, so everyone who meets the criteria receives it. You can hold it alongside a BU sport or music scholarship, but not together with another academic award.
Who can apply
- Where you study: You are starting a postgraduate course on the Bournemouth campus in September 2026 or January 2027. You cannot move the award to a later start.
- Type of course: Full-time taught master's, a structured part-time postgraduate course, or a Master by Research. Postgraduate Certificates, Postgraduate Diplomas, distance-learning and self-paced part-time courses do not qualify.
- Grades: You hold at least an Upper Second-Class Honours (a "2:1", the second-highest UK bachelor grade band) or a CPE with a Merit profile.
- Nationality: You have UK, Republic of Ireland or Channel Islands fee status.
- Field of study: Most subjects qualify. UK applicants for MSc Adult Nursing and MSc Mental Health Nursing are excluded because they get NHS support instead, and some professional-development courses in the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences do not qualify.
How to apply
There is no separate application. The scholarship is checked automatically once you apply for your course. You do need to upload your transcripts to the myHub portal by the end of January for a September start, or the end of June for a January start.
How realistic are your chances?
The number of awards is unlimited, so this is not a contest: if you meet the criteria, you get it. The real hurdle is qualifying at all. Make sure you have a 2:1 or better, are on an eligible course, and upload your transcripts before the deadline.
