About this scholarship

IE Awards from IE University

You get a discount of 10% to 40% of your tuition fees for a master's programme at IE University in Madrid. This is a partial waiver on your fees, not a monthly cash payment. The exact amount depends on which master's you choose and how expensive it is. IE University's Financial Aid Committee grants the award and looks at both your grades and your financial situation. In 2024/25, the university handed out more than 18 million EUR in financial aid overall.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting a master's programme at IE University.
  • Field of study: Any master's programme at the university.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • Grades: You have a strong academic record.
  • Financial need: You have limited access to other funding and can document your finances. If you depend on parents or a guardian, they must also prove their finances.

How to apply

First apply for admission to your chosen master's programme. Then fill in the online financial aid application using the same login. The deadline is the programme start date, but places are limited and reviewed as they come in, so apply early. You can pick up to three awards or scholarships, but you can only be granted one. The committee usually decides within one to three weeks of your admission. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee you get the award.

How realistic are your chances?

The pot is large, but so is the reach. This award is open to anyone admitted to any master's at IE University, so the field is broad and the funding is competitive. Both grades and financial need count, so applicants who combine a strong academic profile with a documented lack of other funding stand out. Applying as early as possible matters, because funds run out.
