NTU Latin America and Caribbean Postgraduate Scholarship

You get £4,000 (about 4,600 EUR) off your tuition fee for a Masters degree at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in England. It is a one-off award for your first year of study, applied as a fee reduction once you enrol. The award comes from NTU and is aimed at students from Latin America and the Caribbean. On the same online form you are automatically considered for other NTU scholarships you qualify for, some of which are worth more.

Who can apply

• Where you are from: You are from Latin America or the Caribbean, for example Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Venezuela or the Caribbean islands.
• Level: You are starting a full-time Masters degree. Bachelors students do not qualify.
• Fee status: You count as an overseas (international) student for fee purposes.
• Offer: You already hold an offer for an eligible full-time Masters course at NTU.
• New start: You are enrolling in the first year of a new course, starting in January 2027 or September 2027.
• Course: Most full-time Masters courses count. A few are excluded, including some LLM law routes, PGCE teaching courses, SQE law courses and MA Social Work.
• No full sponsor: No employer, government or other body pays your full tuition. If you hold another scholarship, the two combined must not cover more than half of your first-year fees.

How to apply

First secure an offer for an eligible NTU course. Then fill in the single online scholarship form. A written statement about why you fit the criteria matters most, and AI-generated text is not allowed. For January 2027 entry the final deadline is 31 October 2026 at 16:00 (GMT), with an earlier round closing on 30 September 2026. You hear the result within five weeks of the deadline. Applications for September 2027 entry open later in the year.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is competitive and decided on the strength of your application. But it is limited to one region and to Masters students only, so the pool is narrower than for NTU's open scholarships. If you clearly fit the region and course criteria and put real effort into the written statement, your prospects are solid. Applying in the earlier round rather than waiting for the final deadline is a sensible move.
