General Description

CERN funds fellowships for work experience at its laboratory in Geneva. The aim of the program is to increase the amount of applications from talented engineers. The amount of financial support ranges from 5165 Swiss Francs to 8043 Swiss Francs (currently about 4,260 to 6,640 Euros) per month. Travel expenses at the beginning and end of the fellowship are also compensated. The duration of the fellowship is three years, with the option to spend one year at another institution as long as the research done there corresponds to the work done at CERN.

Requirements

Applicants must have a university degree or have graduated by the time they begin at CERN. Master's graduates cannot have more than ten years experience, and Bachelor's graduates no more than four years experience. Those with a PhD must study the area of experimental or theoretical physics. Fellows must be a national of a CERN country, with exceptions for those with Senior experience.
